If you read my last post about Julian’s big television debut, you might be wondering how to actually watch his performance on live German television from wherever you are this New Year’s Eve. And I promised to provide you with the link once I had it. Now I finally have two links that should work; actually one is working a I write this post.
You should be able to catch his performance on one of these two sites.
- Live streaming on ZDF television station site: http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beitrag/live/1822600/Das-ZDF-im-Livestream#/beitrag/live/1822600/Das-ZDF-im-Livestream It says it will stream Willkommen 2014 – the Silvesterparty” from 21:45 p.m.-00:35 a.m. in Germany. That means it begins at 12:45 p.m. PT in the US Pacific Time.
- Live streaming on ORFTVTHEK, which currently says, “Erlebnis Bühne Spezial: LIVE: Silvesterkonzert aus der Semperoper…” starting at 18.45 p.m. in Germany, which is 10 a.m. PT.
Now…do you need to watch from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. PT to see Julian? No. However, I’m not sure exactly when he performs. At the moment (as I write), the SemperOper symphony is playing to start off the festivities (I have a picture and live stream from ORFTVTHEK), and I was told the dancing usually shows up in the last hour–sometimes the last 20 minutes. But I’ll have the stream up all day…
Happy New Year, and may your year be filled with many glorious moments of dance or watching your son dance!
UPDATE! He danced at 1o:20 a.m. PT. It was lovely…11 perfect pirouettes! And it started again at 12:59 p.m PT…so if you red this now, catch it again in the next 30 minutes!
