My Son Can Dance

One Mom's Musings About Boys in the Dance World

Preliminary Results: Your Chance to Make Your Voice Heard

December 27, 2010 by Nina Leave a Comment

Thanks so much for your support during the initial rounds of the “Top Dance Blog 2010” contest. The comments you left warmed my heart and gave me reason to continue writing. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough of them to get My Son Can Dance into the running for any particular category.

You can still vote for My Son Can Dance as one of the top 20 dance blogs and possibly move the blog up in the final standings–and I’d appreciate it if you did, indeed, cast a vote. Here’s how you do so:

Simply click here or paste this address into your browser: http://danceadvantage.net/2010/12/27/vote-top-blogs/. Then scroll down the page to vote for My Son Can Dance with a single click  in the “Top 20 Blogs” category. (My Son Can Dance is near the bottom…)

I really appreciate you taking the time to cast a vote and make your voice heard. It means so much to me…and winning or even coming close would do a lot to help promote this blog. Of course, at this point, it’s going to take a lot of votes, so please tell your friends, too. Thanks so very much…

On to what REALLY counts: Check back for the last in the Joey Dowling series in the next day or so. I’ll then be posting a piece from Jason Samuels Smith’s mother, jazz teacher extraordinaire Sue Samuels. Plus, I’ll have a blog post on correcting problems landing a  double tour with solutions offered by a former San Francisco Ballet School instructor. And, of course, interspersed between the “expert posts” you’ll get to hear about the trials, tribulations and successes Julian and I encounter as he continues working his way towards a professional dance career.

Thanks again!
